Benthiavalicarb-isopropyl
Common name:Benthiavalicarb-isopropyl
CAS No.:177406-68-7
Specification: 95%TC
Molecular formula: C18H24FN3O3S
Structural formula:
Mode of action:
Benthiavalicarb-isopropyl has good bactericidal activity against Phytophthora, and has good inhibition on sporangium formation, sporangium germination at low concentration, but has no effect on zoospore release and movement. Pseudoperonospora cubensis. And Peronospora parasitica. Plasmopara viticola Berl Fr.) with similar results in field trials. The biochemical mechanism of Benthiavalicarb-isopropyl is under study. Benthiavalicarb-isopropyl has bactericidal activity against potato late blight, which is resistant to benzenamide functional groups, and melon downy mildew, which is resistant to methoxyacrylate functional groups. It is speculated that Benthiavalicarb-isopropyl has different mechanism of action from fungicides containing these functional groups. Moreover, Benthiavalicarb-isopropyl did not affect the synthesis of nucleic acid and protein oxidation, and had no effect on the function of protoserous membrane of Phytophthora.
Uses:
Description: A fungicide active against Oomycetes fungal plant pathogens.
Example pests controlled: Blight; Downy mildew.
Example applications: Potatoes; Vines; Tomatoes; Grapes.
