Chlorimuron-ethyl
Common name: Chlorimuron-ethyl
CAS No.: 90982-32-4
Specification: 95%TC, 98%TC, 25%WP, 75%WP, 25%WDG, 75%WDG
Molecular formula: C15H15ClN4O6S
Structural formula:
Mode of action:
Chlorimuron-ethyl further blocks the biosynthesis of branched-chain amino acids such as valerine, leucine and isoleucine by inhibiting plant and microorganism-specific acetolactate synthase (Als). Through this mechanism, plant cells quickly stop dividing and growing.
Uses:
Description: Post-emergence, foliar applied herbicide used to control broad-leaved weeds in a range of crops including peanuts and soya beans.
Example weeds controlled: Ragweed; Pigweed; Velvetleaf; Dandelion; Yellow nutsedge; Bittercress; Deadnettle; Lambsquarters; Thistles; Pennycress.
Example applications: Soybeans; Peanuts.
