Chlorothalonil
Common name: Chlorothalonil
CAS No.:1897-45-6
Specification: 97%TC, 75%WP, 720SC, 500SC
Molecular formula: C8Cl4N2
Structural formula:
Mode of action:
Chlorothalonil is a broad-spectrum protective fungicide, which can interact with glyceraldehyde triphosphate dehydrogenase in fungal cells and combine with the protein containing cysteine in the enzyme, thus destroying the activity of the enzyme, and thus destroying the metabolism of fungal cells and losing vitality. Chlorothalonil has no internal absorption and conduction effect, but it has good adhesion on the body surface after being sprayed on the plant body and is not easy to be washed away by rain, so the efficacy period is longer.
Uses:
Description: A fungicide used to control a wide range of diseases on a broad range of crops. Also used as a wood preservative.
Example fungi controlled: Rust; purple spot; Leaf blight; Anthracnose; Downy mildew; Ring spot; Stalk rot; Botrytis rot; Pod & stem blight.
Example applications: Cereals; Vegetables including asparagus, beans, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, carrot, onions, celery, curcubits; Corn for seed; Fruit including cranberries, melon; Mushrooms; Peanuts; Potatoes.
