Mode of action:
Diquat is a non-selective contact herbicide with certain conductivity and can be absorbed by the green tissues of weeds. The weeds begin to die a few hours after receiving the medicine.
Uses:
Description: A non-residual bupyridyl herbicide and crop desiccant, normally used as the dibromide salt, to control broad-leaved weeds and grasses.
Example weeds controlled: Water lettuce; Water hyacinth; Duckweed; Pennywort; Annual bluegrass; Fescue; Henbit; Buttercup.
Example applications: Potatoes; Oilseed rape; Fruit including Apples, Pears, Peaches, Plums, Citrus, Olive, Grapes; Tomatoes; Sunflowers; Vegetables including Beans & Peas, Carrots, Onions, Chicory; Sugarbeets.
