Mode of action:
Oxadiaygyl is a selective herbicide. Inhibition of protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO). Under light conditions, the cell membranes of young shoots and seedlings are ruptured and chlorophyll is decomposed, so that the meristem of the vigorous growth site is destroyed, causing weeds to die.
Uses:
Description: A pre-emergence oxadiazolone herbicide for grass weeds and broad-leaved weeds control.
Example weeds controlled: Annual grasses including Crabgrass, Echinochloa; Sedges; Broad-leaved weeds including Phyllanthus; Solanaceae weeds.
Example applications: Rice; Sugarcane; Sunflower; Transplanted Vegetables; Potato; Capsicum.
