S-metolachlor
Common name:S-metolachlor
CAS No.:87392-12-9
Specification: 98%TC, 960EC
Molecular formula: C15H22ClNO2
Structural formula:
S-metolachlor is mainly absorbed by the buds and transmitted upward to inhibit the growth of the buds and roots. The main mechanism of action is to inhibit protein synthesis of germinated seeds, and to inhibit choline infiltration into phospholipids and interfere with lecithin formation. The ability of grass weeds to absorb metolachlor in their buds was better than that of broadleaf weeds, so the effect of S-metolachlor on grass weeds was much better than that of broadleaf weeds.
Description: Isomer herbicide mixture used to control grasses and some broad-leaved weeds in a wide range of crops.
Example pests controlled: Nightshade; Crabgrass; Pigweed; Foxtail; Yellow nutsedge; Witchgrass.
Example applications: Corn; Soybeans; Beans & peas; Potatoes; Sugarbeet; Lupin; Sunflower; Fruit trees.
