Mode of action:
Azoxystrobin is a β -methoxy-acrylate fungicide, which prevents the energy synthesis of pathogenic bacteria by inhibiting the respiration of mitochondria. It is a fungicide with a relatively new mechanism of action, and has both protective and therapeutic effects.
Uses:
Description: A post-emergence broad spectrum strobilurin fungicide used mainly for cereals.
Example fungi controlled: Rusts; Powdery mildew; Black rot; Scab; Anthracnose; White mould; Peg rot; Early & late blight; Leaf spot; Rice blast; Botrytis.
Example applications: Wheat; Fruit including grapes, citrus, strawberries, peaches; Sunflowers; Vegetables including onions, brassicas and curcubits; Potatoes; Cotton; pecans; Canola; Soybeans; Peanuts; Turf; Ornamentals.
